Phlebotomy Technician Certification
Hospitals, laboratories and other employers have an increasing demand for phlebotomists. Most seek, and many require, a professional certification. With a CPT certification, you’ll have the credentials you need to set yourself apart from other applicants as you embark on a rewarding healthcare career. As more employers require phlebotomy certifications, a CPT will help improve your marketability in a growing and rewarding field.
Phlebotomy Technician Task
⦁ Draw blood from patients and blood donors
⦁ Evaluate patients’ ability to withstand procedure
⦁ Explain blood-drawing procedure to patients and answer questions
⦁ Perform basic point of care testing, such as blood glucose levels
⦁ Prepare blood, urine and other specimens for testing
⦁ Verify patient/donor identity
⦁ Maintain medical equipment such as needles, test tubes and blood vials

Certificate: Upon program completion eligible participants can register for and sit for the CPT Certification Exam
*Training must include successfully performing a minimum of 30 venipuncture and 10 capillary sticks on live individuals.

Payment Policy:
Payment is due at the time of registration to secure your seat. Registration and Payment must be received by 5:00 pm EST the day prior to the training date registered or $10 late fee will be applied. Instructor approval is required for all late registrations after 5:00pm EST the day prior to training date.
*Students pay a $40 non-refundable application fee per program enrollment.
*** Tuition based on Florida Residency. Tuition fees are subject to change to comply with state guidelines.
